If you’re traveling with kids, you need comfort, convenience and value. You’ll discover that and more at our Lykavittos View Duplex Penthouse.

A secluded, yet central Athens location. (Check.) A variety of comfortable sleeping arrangements and all modern conveniences. (Absolutely.) Views of Mount Lykavittos from your private veranda – make that two private verandas. (Have you started packing yet?)

PEACEFUL VIEWS

You won’t believe the peace and quiet you’ll enjoy in this location, a residential building in an authentic downtown neighborhood that’s both serene and in the heart of the action. Two verandas provide perfect views of Athens' most spectacular natural wonder. Mount Lykavittos, a limestone hill where wolves once roamed, looms majestically over the city. Contemplate its beauty while sipping your morning coffee or toast your once-in-a-lifetime holiday with a glass of wine at sunset.

FOR FIVE-STAR FAMILIES

At Greek Vacation Rentals, we furnish our properties to feel exactly like home because they are home (it's where we stay when we are in town). You’ll find contemporary decor and colorful art on the walls; clean tiled living spaces and couches to sink into with a good book.

You’ll also find everything you need to create memorable family meals (be sure to visit the two local farmers’ markets first) and to take care of the little things without disrupting your family time. That means all the kitchenware you need, coffee machine, dishwasher and full-sized washer and dryer – a rarity in Athens rentals.
We want you to feel at home, but we want you to feel spoiled too. High thread-count linens, fluffy robes, and organic Greek bath products add that indulgent vacation feel. Plus, we can provide expert concierge services if you need help to plan your days. Ask us how to arrange a private chef, wine-tasting, or a tour guide of the city!

2.5 BEDROOMS / 2 BATHROOMS

Families and groups of up to 8 people sleep like babies in our bedrooms. (We don't skimp when it comes to American-style comforts, like imported Sealy Posturepedic mattresses.)

Young kids love the king-sized sleeping alcove attached to one of the bedrooms, which gives little explorers their own space while staying close to mom and dad (who have a plush Queen bed to themselves). The second bedroom comes with a Double and two twins. All rooms are airy and modern, with bright pops of color.

Upstairs, a full bathroom tiled in neutral tones features an American-style bath and shower combo with glass doors. On the main floor, you’ll find a convenient second bathroom with walk-in shower.

ADVENTURE ON YOUR DOORSTEP

The best part of a staying at the Mount Lykavittos View Duplex Penthouse is the chance to live in one of Athens' most likable neighborhoods, so get ready to eat, drink, and live like a local!

You’ll find 4 local squares right outside the building, where locals and suburban Athenians choose to relax (be sure to join them for a coffee!), as well as parks and cafes dotted throughout the city. Plus, you’re within walking distance to the Acropolis and the city’s rich historic center. Explore world-renowned museums and soak up culture on every corner. With such a relaxing haven to call home during your stay, you’ll have plenty of energy for sightseeing.

Our Lykavittos View Duplex Penthouse is the perfect place for families with children or small groups to get away from it all – in the middle of it all - without spending a fortune.

“Love Greece and this apartment!”

Date of Stay:

We stayed at Lykcabettus apartment in April for 8 days. The apartment is perfect for our family of 2 adults + 1 child. It is clean and has everything we need. The location is just superb. We walked everywhere from here. We enjoyed the neighborhood feel of the area and our 6 year old loved visiting the local supermarket as he gets a treat for each visit from the owner :) Carole, owner of the apartment is very helpful with all the information about the place , neighborhood and tours. We hired a private driver to take us to Penepolese and did the 3 Island tours. We love Greece and would definitely come back again in the future for another visit and will stay again at one of Carole's lovely rental properties.

“What a gem of an apartment!!”

Date of Stay:

What can I say about this amazing apartment!! It's located in a great area slightly outside of the city center but is very accessible by metro or bus. The apartment is in a great area that is not very touristy and the restaurants surrounding the area are delicious and very reasonably priced! We left several of the menus at the apartment for future travelers. :-) The apartment itself was lovely. We were a group of 5 friends traveling from the states. It is two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed and a twin daybed sort of thing. The other bedroom has a double bed and another double bed in a lofty sort of setting. All beds were very comfortable and the streets were very quiet! There are lovely porches with seating areas on both levels. Having 2 bathrooms was such a treat too. Everything was amazing - from the arranged pick up with Nick at the airport to the gift basket and wine we had waiting for us on arrival. Would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone and I look forward to traveling back to Athens and staying here again! Thanks again Carole - you were terrific!

“A Traveler's Dream 'Home Away'”

Date of Stay:

Carole and Basil are superlative hosts and have created a wonderful home away in this amazingly well appointed two-story penthouse apartment. We were only three, but the apartment can actually sleep several more comfortably. Nadia met us and walked us through all the things we needed to know from kitchen, office amenities, TV and WiFi along with books, games and DVDs. We were left with a lovely gift basket with wine, a loaf of fresh bread and many Greek treats. When we registered, Carole sent a very comprehensive guide to the apartment, neighbourhood and Athens' points of interest - which we gratefully referred to often. It's a super neighbourhood and we would have liked to explore more if our time hadn't been so pre-disposed. Great shopping, cafe's and tavernas. We had a supreme dinner at a local taverna that will remain a secret amongst the Kezios' guests and other lucky people. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and there were plenty of fluffy thick towels, bathrobes and extra blankets. Every room had a balcony and windows on each side of the apartment made for a bright and airy atmosphere. There is a washer and dryer and a selection of Korres (natural Greek) bathroom products along with hairstyling items. Our early morning coffee or evening glass of wine was most enjoyed on the spacious terrace and we had all our meals out there as well. The area is very quiet and safe, yet only two short blocks to the main road where you can grab a quick taxi ride to the Acropolis or Syntagma (under 4€). It is walking distance of 20 - 30 minutes or a shorter trolley ride to town. We took our car at the last minute and did not arrange for parking which we would the next time. One evening we were lucky to get a place close by and one, not so lucky in this popular area - especially late at night - as we were told. We have already referred this apartment to friends. It is clearly a place anticipating a traveller's every comfort. Carole or Nadia are always a phone call away. If anything, it was a little too comfortable and we found our itinerary slipping as we lounged over a second cup of coffee in the sun on the terrace. We will be back for sure.

“Look No Further - Perfect rental walking distance to shops, cafes, tourist sites, bus, train, metro”

Date of Stay:

First and foremost, Carole, the owner provided a wealth of information and details about the unit, her experiences, how to navigate Athens, where to go, excursion options and prices, what to expect, and answered all our questions and inquiries within minutes. We received all her contact information including her contact information in the US and Greece as well as the full address to the unit. We felt very comfortable and confident choosing to rent with Carole. She maintained contact with us before, during and after our trip to ensure we had a wonderful stay in Greece. Nadia and Niko were very accessible and only a phone call away. Nadia met us at the unit upon arrival and gave us a complete tour, showed us how to work all the appliances and how to operate the elevators, etc. Nadia was amazing and made us feel very welcome and ready to hit the ground running! All you need to bring is yourself and a few clothes plus your mobile phone - really! My family and I had a wonderful time at this lovely, modern and rental unit. It is clean, spacious and has all the amenities you need and a lovely welcome basket (looked exactly like the photos). The unit is the only unit on the floor and has 2 stories including very large covered patios. I enjoyed relaxing outside on the patios - nice sofa set and table that seats 4-6 folks. All the patio doors have covers for privacy or automatic rolling doors for extra security. There is a separate remote controlled air conditioner in each room - very convenient and energy saver too. The manager arranged a dedicated driver to handle our airport transfers and excursions. We were able to walk to everything and the location is in a quiet, safe and friendly neighborhood. I was able to use Google maps (in Greek) and find my way around on foot. I walked less than 2 minutes to the ATM at the bank to get Euros, have breakfast. I am a runner so I took a few jogs around the neighborhood in different directions each time. I even found a local scuba shop close to the unit (walking distance) and purchased snorkeling gear for our trip to the beach. The metro is walking distance and so easy to navigate - very clean an modern. Catching a cab from the unit to Plaka (city) is only $3 euros and the bus is free. If you love to walk, all you need is google maps and just punch in your destination. I learned common Greek phrases on the plane ride and the locals helped me perfect it during my stay. When out and about, I was very comfortable speaking Greek and English and most everyone assisted in helping me understand or pronounce their language correctly. Ok, one of the best features is FREE internet, wiifi and long distance phone service! Having 2 separate full baths is priceless. One bathroom is downstairs and the other upstairs. The bedrooms are quite large, light-filled with spacious closets and storage. The washer and dryer upstairs is phenomenal since you don't need to pack a ton of clothes or take home dirty ones. The beds were very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep each evening. Cable TV was good and allowed us to stay connected and watch the US Open! We had an awesome time and will stay here again when we visit Athens. Thank you so much Carole, Nadia and Niko for such an enjoyable first visit to Greece. All smiles here!

Like home away from home and had everything you needed

Date of Stay:

This apartment was like home away from home and had everything you needed in the home and nice & clean. It was in a great location, easy walking distance to all the sites along with some terrific local restaurants. It is also in a very quiet area & very well maintained.
